Double Double Commix

Commix are talented, experimental and outspoken about their chosen genre and now, having recently released 'ReCall To Mind', a delicious reworking of 2008's intensely satisfying album 'Call To Mind', they're ready to whet your appetite for their drum & bass just a little more. Speaking to Resident Advisor late last year, the duo explained what they've been doing since their critically acclaimed debut: "After our last album we decided we wanted to drastically change our sound. We agreed that we wanted to be more experimental, not just with the sound but with the tempos too. So, for the last year or so, that's what we've been up to. Forging a new sound, learning how to make other styles of electronic music and collecting more studio equipment." * So, while the boys are locked away reshaping and redefining what Commix means, musically and sonically, it's little wonder their fans have been drooling at the idea of a new Commix release. Dropping as a limited edition one sided 12" with only 500 making their way out of the pressing plant, 'Double Double' is that release. * As you'd expect every element is inch-perfect, with moody synthetic bleeps and echoing vocal snatches paving the way for crisp drums and expertly placed sounds all underpinned with trademark cavernous sub-bass.
