The Last Song

Miley Cyrus stars as a teenager who reconnects with her father years after her parents go through a nasty divorce in this adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel. The novelist also provided the screenplay for the production, which is directed by Julie Ann Robinson. Set in a small Georgia beach town of Tybee Island, 17 year old Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller (Cyrus) is sent by her mother (Kelly Preston) to spend the summer with Steve (Greg Kinnear). A once promising child piano prodigy, Ronnie's love of music is reawaken by her estranged father. Her passion for life is also reawaken by resident hottie Will (Liam Hemsworth).
