Gunbuster Standard edition

All six episodes of the Japanese anime directed by Hideaki Anno. Fighting for survival against an alien race intent on their destruction, humans develop advanced battleships and fighting robots controlled by highly-trained pilots. Noriko Takaya (voice of Noriko Hidaka) dreams of becoming one of those pilots but she struggles at first to develop the necessary skills.

When she is chosen as one of two pilots for a new weapon, the Gunbuster, she is determined to take the opportunity to prove herself and to find or avenge her father, a space admiral who went missing in one of the first battles against the aliens.
