This is one woman's story of surviving sexual abuse and a near-death experience as a child and how her life evolved. As a child, who do you tell and how do you say, "Help me" when the abuser is in the home. Abuse stays with you forever. Trying to escape it only tortures you and destroys your self-confidence. Abuse can either make you a stronger, caring person trying to see good in everyone or it could make you into a vengeful monster. The author describes how she overcame the scars of sexual abuse she suffered as a young child for years and how nearly dying after being shot in the chest at a friend's apartment led her to a path of spiritual awakening.
