The MacTavish Legacy

This novel relates the evolution of the family and descendants of a Scottish emigre' who once found himself embroiled in the formation of America. This second in the series takes us into the 19th Century and the turmoil surrounding slavery and the violent period leading up to the Civil War. Jasper MacTavish's family wrestles with the social issue of slavery and its relevance in the antebellum South. The early 19th century was a period of time in American history that is forgotten or neglected by most history teachers. The violence of that time and the importance it had upon the formation of our modern society is often mistreated by those who relate history to our youth.
