Who is the King is the script for a two-man play which can be performed with just a few chairs and a chessboard. Two strangers, a senior citizen and a young man, converse over a friendly game of chess. Knowing that it is unlikely that they will ever see each other again, they fearlessly put forward their respective notions regarding love, relationships and life. As the game progresses more about the past of their professional and personal lives is revealed and the young man also attempts to answer the question put to him by the senior gentleman: - 'Who is the King?'. The script is heavily filled with references to grandmasters and famous events, all revolving around the game of chess.
