How does one deal with heartbreak? For F. C. Stanley, that answer lay where the answers to all of life's issues reside--in writing. This poetry chapbook, with its considered words, deals with the pain of losing love, but more importantly, the pain of finding who you are after forgetting it. It's a story in itself, each poem a chapter in a tale with an inevitable conclusion. In navigating the painful aftermath of a dead affair, the author opens up wounds that never truly healed and fights battles in wars he put off for too long, confronting his grief, fears, dependencies and, ultimately, himself.
