Milt Bonadies lives in a country you'd recognize as American. It's called the USNA (Utopian States of North America). Made up as the Old United States with portions of Mexico and Canada added, it's founded upon the principle that everyone should have a chance at a Good Life. Since it's hard to agree upon what that really is, effort is expended to make it possible for everyone to follow some personal dream. In the USNA. one can live in Twelfth-century England, be a member of a Pre-Columbian native tribe, or join a radical feminist commune. Milt is a Private Investigator. He's gay but likes women well enough and they generally like him. This is the major reason that Milt has been hired by Jake Richardson, a real estate tycoon, who's wife has disappeared and may be residing in a place known as The Co-Op. The Co-Op has just sort of Sprung Up in a Valley of Western Oregon. It has an extremely high ratio of females to males. The Valley also harbors more than one secret which could have consequences for the entire Human Race. Milt's investigations will take him To the Feminist Cooperative of Spring Valley, to the Glades of Shire and into the heart of Human Evolution itself!
