Fairy tales are supposed to have happy endings, where true love's kiss saves the day and everyone lives happily ever after. But for a gay man growing up in New York, life is rarely anything like a fairy tale. Tempted to Touch details the story of my life, beginning in childhood and going on through the trials of love and loss, from my closeted high school years to the secret romances of my adult life. But unlike fairy tales, there is no promise of a happy ending, and no magical kiss can save the day. It is my hope to expose the world to a side of life they never get to see, one filled with eager experimentation, secret midnight rendezvous, the New York night life, parties, drugs, danger, and revenge.
