Simon Bailey, an underprivileged middle school student at the top of his class, finally gets the opportunity to live out his dream of learning to play the piano. However, on his way to his first lesson, Simon is caught in a terrible accident paralyzing him from the neck down. Desperate to find a solution, he seeks the help of a mysterious man known as the "Soul Doctor" who is rumored to be able to heal people's body and soul by playing music.
