The ex-Texas Ranger known only as Jackson has always ridden a solitary trail. His first mission ended in disaster as he was the only survivor of an ambush by an outlaw known as El Vibora (the Viper). The loss of so many fellow Rangers left Jackson to ride with the spirits of the fellow Rangers he lost to seek revenge on the outlaw who caused it all. The abductor claims to be the infamous El Vibora, himself. The location that Caroline Early is being held brings a chill to Jackson. It is the same little box canyon where El Vibora ambushed Jackson and his fellow Rangers so many years before. Jackson has no choice to go but he fears what will be found in the canyon will be a most deadly end to the nightmares and anguish he has endured for so many years.
