And 42 is a subtle nod at the number 42, which appears in many different religious sources as a number of significance, nodding to Paul's Sermon on Mars Hill where he claims the poets of the past had been winked at by God. "Revealing Understanding" delves into meaning and draws objective truth from difficult texts and modern controversies. The work's title is based on the two words which mean "Substance" and "Evidence" in Hebrews 11:1. The fundamental crux of the book is that meaning can be found---and what meaning we find corroborates God's Word.
