"A Bush wedding can make or break a couple" Stoney and Ginger are to be married in five days time. Stoney goes bush to think and Ginger starts baking.

Determined to fit in to Bush life, 'townie' Virginia Trueheart (Ginger) is doing her best to become the perfect teacher's wife in the rugged back country of New Zealand. There are certainly challenges to overcome from aloof locals and their incomprehensible customs to antiquated household appliances and the inevitable scepticism of family and friends. But a wedding will surely bring all elements together in the harmony Ginger seeks - come hell or high water.

However as the day draws near everything seems to conspire against her and her plans threaten to dissolve into farce. Passion and longing reverberates through the hills as a storm rushes inland devastating the valleys. Tristan Stone (Stoney), out in the thick of it with two teenagers in his care, uses all his wits and strength to survive against all odds and return in time for his wedding.

When Maori legend and European myth collide, Ginger is caught up in a maelstrom that just may be of her own creating and finds she must choose between doing the 'right thing' and following her heart.
