The continuing success of a drilling contractor depends on its ability to deliver completed wells at required deadlines with fully functioning barriers and to manage the integrity of these barriers in the most efficient manner. This will allow the contractor to adhere to its contract while maintaining the safety of its personnel, its assets, its reputation, and the environment. Having a fully functioning Well Integrity Management System, capable of efficiently managing the barriers of the wells being drilled is the main requirement to achieve this goal. This book discusses the philosophy behind well integrity and the process that concluded in the development of the software that handles well integrity during the drilling and well control applications. The book also describes how the information was gathered, analyzed, and aggregated to develop the software and provide a summarized overview of well integrity and well barrier status for the drilling operations. The software was developed following the guidelines of the NORSOK D-010 standards and the IWCF standard Well Control certification. The trials of the toolkit were conducted on the IWCF certified Well Control Simulator.
