The monograph is designed to provide and refresh a number of critical concepts related to student development. It is based on basic principles which contribute to the foundation of working with students pursuing higher education in general and not specific to any discipline nor degree nor levels - under graduate, graduate or masters. After a brief Introduction, the monograph begins with discussion of the context of student within the history of higher education, understanding of core traits, characteristics of student, key definitions, review of student development theories including the four schools.
