The idea behind Patience & Ritual came about as part of The 100 Day Project, an annual, free event that encourages people to pursue a creative endeavor, and dedicate themselves to it for at least 100 days. Conrey took up the challenge, and started on a journey that would not only take him into new creative areas, but philosophical ones as well.

In this compendium, Conrey discusses how important he believes the tenets of patience and ritual have helped him not only achieve his goal of 100 days of painting, but further understand his purpose surrounding the project.
