One of the premiere office buildings in St. Louis, The EIGHTS complex-actually three buildings in total-houses a little bit of everything. As Paul, the building's head of security, likes to put it, anyone who can afford to be there is there. And that very idea gets Paul and his longtime coworker and partner in crime, Terrence, to thinking...and pontificating...and postulating. Fueled by Imo's pizza, Dr. Pepper, and Evan Williams Cherry, a concept Terrence has long considered in the abstract suddenly comes into sharp, actionable focus-why not bug the building and listen? And, though Paul is the level-headed side of their philosophical duo, he can't resist Terrence entirely. In short order, listening devices are purchased and placed, and the experiment is on.
