Coming to awareness during the early days of the Cold War, the days when nuclear Armageddon was on every lip and new homes had fallout shelters: this was the formative time for the author, the eldest child of a Naval officer who was uprooted too frequently to recall every bedroom window. This was followed by the tumult of the Sixties, with all that decade brought with it. The chain of events, set in the era of both John Lennon and Charles Manson and against the backdrop of Vietnam, leads to a life-changing epiphany. The tale includes drug use and sex, violent death and tender love, rejection and growth, and is intertwined with the music and events of the day. Mowry Beach chronicles the author's journey to a life threatening bad trip and a revelation. The Fourth Edition includes material surfaced from long-buried family archives which also led to the discovery of errors in the acclaimed Third Edition. Not for the faint of heart!
