A seal is broken at the Great Pyramid of Giza, unleashing a murderous entity that thirsts for sacrifice. This dark force hunts two young women in Cairo. In desperation, they reach out to a new hunter to rescue them. Ahmed, a physic with connections to the spirit world, must use his power for the first time, and prevent their demise. But sometimes, the hunter becomes the hunted, along with everyone he loves. A novella by the award-winning author of The Hakima's Tale, Dedra L. Stevenson. Sounds in the night... Shadows and apparitions... Things that move on their own... For most people, such events are explained away and never thought of again, but for some, further investigation is required. The Society for Paranormal Observation and Organization of Kindred Spirits, SPOOKS, was formed by a group of like-minded hunters from every corner of the world. These individuals share a bond, a bond with the world of the unseen and the unknown. IFRIT is one of their stories.
