The Canopy is a cop bar, like no other. Here officers and detectives share stories, heartache and dreams. It is a safe place away from the harsh realities of working a patrol beat or investigating the cruelties of life. The Canopy is where cops go to unwind after stressful events or difficult days. Being there with likeminded and understanding hearts makes healing and hope possible.

The author is the president of the Ontario Police Museum. He worked the streets of Ontario as a foot beat officer, patrolman, detective, undercover narcotics and as training officer. He saw and experienced the raw side of life. He walked with them during sad times and a life without hope. He worked with his comrades through the stress of dealing with politics and social upheavals and the End.d of Watch for a fallen friend and faithful warrior.
