A Bit of Spirit and a lot of Spit is an emotional and empowering true story from Anna Mae. Told from the heart, Anna shares her life experiences, from love affairs to personal loss to total freedom, through a unique blend of poetry and prose. In 2009, Anna spoke candidly at charity event in support of FSID (Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths) to commemorate what would have been her late sons 30th birthday.

During this event, she spoke honestly and bravely about her experiences, which provoked both tears and laughter, ultimately leading her to write this book.     Within these pages, between the poems, lies Annaâs compelling and intimate account.
