Secrets beyond the Nile (Story Keeping Series, Book 3)

Age: 7 and up Grade: 3 and up ASOT: 4.4
Story time with grandpa changed everything. Dr. Charlotte Bell discovered it - a map lost for centuries. Finally, she can unravel the mystery surrounding Egypt's Forgotten Pharaoh. She'll need help from the Story Keepers along the way. Will Riles, Sissie, and Finn find a way before the last page turns? Find out in this action-packed, humorous, adventure chapter book. Story Keeping Series an endearing adventure series, entertaining for kids, middle school students, and adults. "The best book for kids I've ever read. An immersive adventure that gave my daughter and I a magical experience." "Somewhere between The Boxcar Children and Harry Potter, this series follows a sibling set in and out of books, saving happy endings. A delightful read for middle grade boys and girls." "The Story Keeping Series is Magic Treehouse meets The Diary of a 6th Grade Ninja." Interview with the Author Q - What makes the Story Keeping series so special?
A - Probably best to ask other readers. I like the series because Riles brings an honest voice to these wild adventures. He is also incredibly passionate about reading.
I love seeing Riles and his siblings work together save happy endings. Q - What age children is the book written for?
A - I've heard great things from parents of children 5-7 who read it to their kids, and from parents of kids in the 8-10 or 9-12 range who read it on their own. The books are written at a 3rd grade reading level, introducing age appropriate themes for children 6-8 mixed with just the right amount of humor.
Riles tells these stories in a family friendly way. My own "beta-readers" include a 9 year old boy, 7 year old girl, and 5 year old boy. Q - What order should I read the books in?
A - Each book can stand alone, since each adventure comes from another book. But there is something larger going on. Reading the whole series reveals a number of additional clues. Can you piece the bigger picture together?
Book 1: The Night I Became A Hero
Everything changes when Riles, Sissie, and Finn tuck in for story time at grandpa's house.
Book 2: The Night We Met A Dragon
Grandpa is keeping secrets, as the kids meet whiny Prince Winthrop, a wicked magician who wants to be King, and a dragon who remembers the white light.
Book 3: Secrets beyond the Nile
Story Keeping siblings help a witty professor dodge thieves and discover a lost mystery. Along the way, they discover surprising clues about mom and dad. Q - Can I use these books for education?
A - Absolutely. A number of reviews from teachers suggest it's well paced for 3rd grades, and the accompanying parent guide helps adults ask the right questions to get children thinking about the story's themes. There is a link to the parent guide just before the table of contents. An audiobook is also available at no cost to support varying learning styles. Story Keeping Series eBook Categories:
