David Zabad's ancestry can be traced back to the Biblical figure Samson, the strongest man who ever lived. Within his father's blood resides this same strength. David has learned to rely on his father Ethan for support, protection and security. But when disaster strikes the Eastern United States, David and his young family must learn quickly to survive on their own.

David's father Ethan has spent his life liberating people around the world but at the start of the crisis finds himself on the opposite side of the world from his son. Unable to help and not knowing if they are dead or alive, Ethan's new mission is to get home. Armed only with his strength, limited supplies and the companionship of his best friend, Robbie, Ethan must travel thousands of miles to be reunited with his family.
