The contents of this book were originally written by the author as a daily devotion text message sent to her family thread because everyone's schedules had become too busy for a regular family Bible study. Eventually the daily devotions were forwarded and shared with friends and coworkers who began sharing them with their family, friends, and bible study groups. At last estimation the devotions were reaching over 500 people via daily text. The goal of the devotions was for a mom of four to continue to share The Word with her children despite busy school, work, and extra-curricular schedules. The feedback about the devotions was so positive. Many people said they found them encouraging and enlightening and looked forward to receiving and reading them everyday. So, those individual devotions written over the course of a year were saved and compiled to become "Donham Family Devotions." Because the author's children ranged in age from junior-high, high-school, college, and adult at the time of writing; the devotions are very relevant to questions and world situations that challenge faith, not just for young people, but Christians of all ages.
