Annyce Davis
Every now and again we find ourselves on a road that is long and painful, one that we would probably not want to walk. The feelings we endure through times like these can often overwhelm us. Very often it can seem like there is no way through the hurt and the anguish.
In this often tough-talking, sometimes disturbing book of poems, Last Leaf of The Fall, author Annyce Davis tells the story of the traumas of her early life in verse. From her young years, when she fell victim to the worst kind of betrayal, through teenage years of despair and feelings of hopelessness, she somehow fought back to first see a tiny glimmer of hope, then the chance for healing and ultimately survival.
There are poems which can be difficult to read for some, or that will have a special meaning for others. They chart a bleak and unhappy time for Annyce, but where eventually the light shone through the dark places and allowed her another chance to be happy.
These poems are designed to do the same for you and help you find the light amidst the darkness.
