You may wonder why we need another book about creativity. I did. But having desperately sought creativity for a lot of my life, I realized that almost all the other books on creativity I have read, and they are legion, weren't very creative. The problem seems to be that the reader is never allowed to do any creating. In a way that makes sense, since everything is already created. Technically, you and I don't create anything. What we do is re-create stuff from all the things that God has already created. And in doing so, we get to create our own world. I suppose it hasn't turned out so hot, but hey, we're beginners. In the process of re-creating with the stuff that God created we also get to create who we are and who we will become. The difference is that in this book you can create. Well, alright you can re-create. There are essays to read, pages to color, lined pages in which to write your thoughts and feelings, blank pages to draw or paint on, and poetry to lift your spirits. It's a lot of fun. In fact, this book is full of clean RECREATION. My hope is that when you have finished this book you will feel as if you have experienced some refreshing recreation, and perhaps you will feel a little more creative in your own life.
