The author and all his siblings graduated from the National University of Singapore under their parent's guidance without a single dollar spent on tuition. The author is a full-time private tutor in advanced level mathematics since 2013 after leaving his previous jobs in Phillip Capital, Economic Development Board, and SPRING Singapore. By 2019, he taught more than 100 students one to one and in small groups. He also reflected on how his Dad, who was not a teacher, and his mum, who is a housewife, together created the environment that fosters motivated and independent children with the drive and aptitude that allowed them to become highly successful in their careers.
