WHY Simple Discipleship? It will reproduce more genuine disciples who are grounded, equipped, and fruitful, without destroying ourselves and our families in the process. Jesus did say His yoke was easy. Then why does it seem so hard? This is not a self-help book for you to find your best life now or to make serving in ministry a breeze. It will show how we have made things more complicated than Jesus' simple plan. For we have left the commands of God, holding to the ministry-traditions of men, only because that is how it has always been done. But Jesus said He will build His Church. He calls us to the mission of disciple-making. He modeled it. He commands it. It reproduces more fruit and richer fruit. And this is what is most exciting-the big WHY of Simple Discipleship: ours could be the generation that hastens and sees and enjoys the return of Jesus by following His simple command to go and make disciples of every people group. But we must awaken our desire for our First Love again, to spend intimate time with Jesus, to long for His return and for The Wedding-the JOY of all joys!
