Have you ever thought about how different your life would be if you ran away and joined the circus of Rock and Roll as a kid rather than staying in school, eating your vegetables, and living a normal life?
Concert Production Manager JD Yorke delivers wicked wit and wisdom based on 40 years behind the scenes in the music and nightclub biz.
J. D. Yorke started work as a lighting and sound tech in 1979 at the age of 16. He was onstage monitor engineer for Guns N Roses first arena tour to support their "Appetite For Destryuction" album in 1987. He has worked as an audio engineer with The Cult. He has provided lighting design and operations for Def Leppard. He was a pyro guy for Disney. He is also an academic honor graduate of the US Army Region V NCO academy in Utah and was inducted in the NY Blues Hall of Fame as a producer in 2016.
Sarcasm and Glory is the first volume in a series, a compilation of snarky anecdotes and whip snapping proverbs written from the gutter and grandeur of backstage life by a seasoned veteran of Rock and Roll stagecraft.
