Dr. Williams received the Chris Wells Memorial Creativity Award in 2008 (Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers). Contributor Bio: McConnell, Karen Dr. Karen McConnell is Associate Professor at the School of Education and Movement Studies at Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Washington, where she teaches courses on Nutrition, Health and Performance, Health Psychology, and Teaching Methods of Fitness Activities. Her research and advisory activities focus on women's health, eating disorders, body image, and weight-related issues. She has served on the advisory and editorial boards of the"Women in Sport and Physical Activity Journal" and has acted as consultant to various health and fitness organizations.
