The season of Winter, varies greatly dependant to a large part on the distance from the equator. In addition to what could be described as bone chilling temperatures, there is a shortage of daylight and Vitamin D production... The 'Winter fashion' photo essay is applicable to areas north or south of the 39th parallel. Not quite to the extreme of living near the poles but somewhere in between. Both Fabric and functionality are important to fashion designers. The old natural standbys of wools, down and fleece and slowly being replaced by man made material. The goal is to stay both dry and warm.. The chosen images are what I imagine can help to keep you warm on a chilly night and that would likely have little to do with the fabric employed in the garments. . Skoal.
