The only thing greater than the magnificent city of Toria Vilorious was the depths of the corruption of its people. The only tragedy more sorrowful than the wickedness of Toria was the near complete annihilation of its populace at the hands an alien force known as the Defected Armada. The people were almost completely destroyed... almost... A few souls survived the destruction of their home--a few debatably lucky people who joined together while they watched their past burn behind them. Serendipity? Good things stumbled upon unexpectedly. That is what some would call it, but often it isn't until the horrors are past that one can see the good in oblivion and the blessings in the face of calamity. Yet under the protective watch of Saezyn (a mysterious prophet of Trilumina), Ribus (the assassin), Cyra (a skilled hacker), CJ (an exotic dancer), and other survivors of the disaster who all have surreptitious reputations, they find that even they are not too far gone. Trilumina, the God of Ephesia, still has a purpose for them. Yet even prophets have secrets and a life of learned mistrust is not a habit easily broken for any of these individuals pulled from the flames. Now fate demands that they have no choice but to work together, or else the whole city--the whole planet--will succumb to its impending doom. Will they achieve Containment?
