When she came home weeks early from seeing family in Honduras, her father was relieved. She was home. They certainly had no idea what was wrong, but whatever it was, they could handle it. All that was important was her safe return... He had no idea. This story is about Carli. About her family. Specifically, it is about their journey from Carli's diagnosis of ALL, known as "the children's cancer," to another much worse diagnosis - Mucor Myosis. It started out as her father's blog to simply keep their family and friends updated with their struggles... to keep Carli ever in their hearts and prayers. It was a real time telling, through often nightly postings, of their fears, victories, setbacks, steps forward, and yes... their loss. Though his posts often reflect (and even wrestle with) their faith in God, it was not/is not about deep truths or hidden answers. If anything, it is about questions. Questions of love. Questions of faith. He is not telling you to believe, or to think anything. This is simply his story. He tells it so it is not forgotten... so Carli is not forgotten.
