This is a guide for couples and individuals who want to transform their heated discussions from negative rants and tirades, to positive communicating. I believe that we can argue in a non-confrontational way and still get our point across. We must speak to our loved ones respectfully in order to convey a message without destroying the relationship and leaving a bad taste in our mouths. This has to be done though with the most pure intentions. Each partner must have the highest level of respect for self and the partner involved. In the past I was opposed to any kind of arguments but as I grow as an individual I have come to know that arguments are not only unavoidable but they can have a very positive impact on a relationship and quite frankly on one's health. Conversely, we tend to have, for the most part, negative results from arguments because we don't know components of a good argument and therefore we have the tendency to attack and destroy one another with our mouths in order to get our point across. This often leaves our relationship in a compromised position and pushes one or both of us into a bad place. The solution is simple... layout the ground rules and follow them closely and the result will be one of peace and harmony in the relationship.
