Legends of Diega

A concise personal story from my grandmothers perspective. Every lifetime is a journey of development and experience. For some, it is also a journey of risk and adventure. Diega takes us with her from a rough start as a child on Cebu in the Philippines to gratified joy late in life in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Diega's event-filled life began in a small village in the Philippines. She made the most of every opportunity that came her way despite an abusive stepfather, the Japanese invasion and occupation, and an alcoholic husband. Diega's short story offers others the opportunity to find hope and wisdom from her example.
