The objective of this series of exercises is to develop the aesthetic sensitivity of those with innate visual talent. Designers and artists with a developed visual sensitivity are able to make new stylistic statements that are sophisticated and beautiful. This allows them to be real leaders, visionaries and innovators in our rapidly changing society. The content of this series of exercises focuses on the abstract object or place in order to simplify an extremely complex area of visual perception. The abstract isolates the basic lines, surfaces, forms and spaces from the cultural and personal. This facilitates the training of the eye to analyze the abstract qualities of any design, make judgments concerning the visual qualities of the design and act on those judgments in an informed, intelligent and confident manner.
