Douglas William Woods
The Floorshow Revised edition explores the history and the Parisian influence of the floorshows from Paris, France to Las Vegas, Nevada. The floorshows were unique, and an important part of American theatrical history in the west. The book includes rarely seen photography, illustrations, and art of the dancers, showgirls, performers, variety acts, and the biggest stars in show business. The book features The Bluebells, and the theatre codes that permitted topless showgirls to become one of the icons of Las Vegas and costumes that was banned in Atlantic City. The book includes photos from the Follies Bergere, Casino de Paris, Steppin' Out, and the infamous Lido de Paris that played at the Stardust Hotel for 33 years in Las Vegas.
