A dog named Chewy and his wife, Lucy, have a newborn puppy named Pew. When a scorpion stings Pew one night, Chewy and Lucy know they need to take him to see a doctor right away. But the doctor won't treat Pew because his family has no money. What will Chewy do? Because he is a bone digger, he goes to the graveyard and digs, hoping to find a bone to sell. When he finds a large shiny bone, he believes his troubles are over-but they have only just begun. The discovery seems to bring Chewy and Lucy nothing but bad luck. Can these two parents find a way to heal their son and restore their family? Only time will tell! In this children's story, two poor canine parents search for a way to save their son, who has been stung by a scorpion.
