Jake Gibbons has joined a new project hidden in a secret location, deep in the Canadian Wilderness. Tasked with leading the team focused on building the software that will control a time portal, Jake presses his team for results using his skills as a Project Manager. Working closely with the other departments in the facility, they push toward building the world's first, fully functional time machine. However, not all is at it seems. As discoveries give rise to questions, pieces of the puzzle soon fall into place. Jake finds clues in copies of restricted data, deepening the mystery. With nowhere else to turn, he seeks assistance from an unlikely source. Who is behind the project? What will they use it for? Have they built the greatest research tool of all time or the ultimate weapon? Weaving a tale of the events behind the scenes of a time travel project, we take a step back from the glamor and wonder of time travel itself, and visit with the team working on the machine as they design, build and test it. Project managers, software developers, quality assurance testers, program managers and one curious technical writer all play a role in the success or failure of the endeavor.
