Publisher Marketing: Zoey Miller was a throw away child, no one wanted her. She is passed around from one home to the next. She ran away so many times that her social worker gets the courts to have Zoey placed in a mental hospital for testing. There she meets a girl named Debra Stone, who is three years older than she is. This same young girl will be the one who teaches Zoey the true meaning of the word 'family.' As a teenage girl, Debra Stone idolized him, this movie star H. W. Edwards that was larger than life. Then, as a young woman she meets, courts, and married him just to find out he was nothing like she dreamed he would be. They tore each other up with their battle of wills. Even though they tried to save the marriage, it didn't work out. Finally, they agreed to stay apart, and not see each other, and for eight years they don't. He lives on the West Coast in L. A. she on the east coast in South Florida, and they share their five children, whom travel back and forth twice a year. A practicing psychiatrist, she goes to L. A. to a medical convention and decides to visit his house wanting to see the beautiful garden she so loved one more time. When she arrives, no one is there. Getting through the wrought-iron gate using the same security code she always had. She enters the back yard. This sets off a chain of events that will change both their lives forever. For the next two years, their lives are like a roller-coaster ride, and they discover that the flame that once burned between them was still hotter than ever.
