Publisher Marketing: This book has been written about Joseph the son of Jacob. He had had two dreams about his family members bowing to him, and those dreams had made them very angry with him. In fact, they hated him so much that they actually tried to get rid of him. They sold him to some merchants going to Egypt. Then, an Egyptian captain bought him out of the local slave market and brought him into his household. Because the Lord was with him, Joseph excelled everywhere he went and in everything that he did. But that did not keep him from getting into a lot of trouble. He ended up in prison when the Egyptian captain's wife had falsely claimed that he had tried to force himself on her. Once he was in prison, he excelled again. But that did not keep him from spending a lengthy time there. Joseph would eventually get out of prison and rise to be the number two man in all of Egypt. But his journey was filled with difficulties and setbacks. Joseph is an excellent example of right behavior in all circumstances. He did well even when things turned against him because of his high personal standards and integrity. For many of his early years in Egypt, he may not have felt like the Lord was in complete control of his circumstances. But by the time that he had reached his destiny, he understood the Lord's workings in his life. This book discusses the details of Joseph's life in Egypt. It explains how he would have gotten saved. It explains why God fashions some vessels for honor and others for dishonor. It presents an analogy of the Egyptian captain purchasing Joseph out of the slave market and Jesus purchasing a lost sinner out of the sin market. Lastly, it discusses different aspects of forgiveness.
