She was previously Professor of Education at Unitec Institute of Technology, Auckland, and in 2007-8 was seconded to the University of Nottingham. She has published widely on the history of women's education and was awarded a Spencer Foundation Research Grant to undertake the archival research for this book. She is editor of History of Education Review and co-editor of the Journal of Educational Administration & History. Contributor Bio:  Fitzgerald, F.
