I always imagined growing up and having a marriage just like my parents. I hardly ever thought that my life would have taken a drastic turn, but at age twelve, my family experienced a tragedy that changed our lives forever. I never thought this would happen to us, but it did. My mother was deeply rooted in her faith and knew that God would see us through. Once I made it through the tragedy, I began to experience the world for myself. A few years later, I met the love of my life, and knew that everything would be fine. I never felt so loved and protected until I met Deon. He was everything I hoped for. I knew that being with him was all I needed, until one day things took a turn for the worse. Little did I know, one day, my life would be ripped to shreds. It took a strong will, and constant praying to God, in order to mend the pieces.
