Something to Think About ...for Lent

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT... FOR LENT is a daily devotional intended to draw the reader into a fuller appreciation and observance of this liturgical season. Author Mary Penich draws from her own life experiences and spiritual journey to provide a daily reflection and prayer for each of the forty days of Lent. Mary sets the tone with an opening discussion of Lent which invites the reader to join her in pursuing a deepening relationship with Jesus over the course of the next forty days. Through her reflection and prayer, Mary inspires her readers to attend to the needs of Jesus, our brother, while also finding inspiration in the words and works of Jesus, our Lord and God. Each reflection is based upon a scripture passage from the Bible. For those who follow the Lectionary, passages are taken from Cycle A.
