According to the online dictionary website www.dictionary.com, a pendulum is defined as "a body so suspended from a fixed point as to move to and fro by the action of gravity and acquired momentum." In this book, a collection of three short stories about pendulums are presented. These stories are taken from the classic literature. These stories are selected to be marvelous and enjoyable to read. They offer rewarding and informative experience for all readers. The first two stories are by O. Henry (The Pendulum) and Edgar Allan Poe (The Pit and the Pendulum). The third story is from Germany written by Rudolph Lindau entitled The Philosopher's Pendulum.
