Year 2287. Michael, age 17, a concomitant of New Allsop, lives his lifedoing what he wishes, when he wishes under the guidance of thegovernment. Taking the night out, Michael encounters a girl in allwhite by the name of Angel, who leaves him suddenly upon meeting. As aresult of that instance she, the beautiful mystery, lingers in histhoughts, and with each second that passes his desire to see her again,to be with her, bolsters. However, Michael also observes beforemeeting her even, a group of men in all black walking about, surveyingthe area in which he resides. He doesn't know their reason for beingthere, but his impression of them isn't a welcoming one and thequestion of who they are remains in his mind. As the days passhe returns to the area where he encountered her and plays Crusader asthe virtual humanoid frame Turalus. Not only does he play, but he winsand displays a characteristic that a certain group who examined himneeds. Within time, egged on by out of the ordinary happeningsin his area Michael begins to wonder what is going on until finally,the veil is cut and he is reunited with his love, the reason for herbeing there revealed. As it has been revived numerous times inhistory, the ongoing struggle between light and dark begins again, withMichael joining a resistance group known as The Variance, being pulledinto the center of it all. To combat the New Government Faction,he and Turalus become ghosts amidst the darkness, the reminder of whatthose in the past died fighting to prevent. The fall of democracy, andthe rise of a dictatorship.
