Are you here for some smut? Or a salad bowl? When housewife Mitzy Barlow starts hosting Tupperware parties one grey afternoon in 1969, she has no idea of the power it has to transform lives. It is necessity that has led her here: when her husband’s carpentry hours drop, so too does their family income, forcing Mitzy to take matters into her own hands to support their young children. But if it is necessity that drives her to start, it is freedom that keeps her going. Because Mitzy has a talent for something else: writing erotic stories. And when she starts selling those stories alongside her Tupperware containers – slipping them inside her products to protect them from prying eyes – her parties suddenly become known for more than just plastic: now, they are about liberation. She was once just Mitzy, trapped in a loveless marriage – now she is Queen B, leader of a covert revolution. That is until rumours of her actions start to put her family at risk. Is Mitzy naïve to think she could ever change her fortunes? Or can she rewrite the ending of her own story, before it’s too late?
