Originally, published early 2020, I have revised this series and republished this as I have been bombarded with reminders of these poems recently. I am proud to say that these writings helped me immensely in my spiritual awakening and healing. Through these poems I reflect on years following my sexual trauma, depression, and toxic relationships and character at the time. In addition, I also begin to look forward in these poems to the new life that lies ahead as most of my deep healing and processing has come close to an end. I see life with a new lens of love and light and opportunity. With these poems I touch on the darkness that comes with life, but also the light that is birthed from deep healing of your darkest moments. Life is absolutely beautiful, and I promise you everything is going to be okay and you are safe.
