Growing up Derek never had intentions of writing a book, as his primary interests were sports, music, and business. After a life-changing event in 2016, caused due to his battle with dysautonomia, that all changed. With a burning desire to share his story to bring awareness to dysautonomia, he published his first book "So Close to Death yet So Far Away" in March 2017. After the release of his book, Derek was surprised by the number of people that had aspirations of writing a book but were never able too. With constantly being sought for advice on writing a book, Derek created exercises and tips for those needing help. With a combination of personal experience, ideas learned over time, and personal development techniques, the exercises have proven to be extremely effective. Derek truly believes anybody has the ability to write a book and he is living proof. After seeing the positive impact his exercises had and with the encouragement of those around him, Derek decided to share his methods with everyone in his new book "Make Your Book a Reality."
