In spite of this, she was shattered when she received the news that Simon Dowling was to marry another woman for she could not envisage him belonging to anyone else but her. And she had no one to blame but herself. She and Simon had been lovers and he had wanted to make their relationship permanent. His new job, however, took him to a distant part of the country and Sarah had been offered a wonderful position on a large syndicate newspaper chain. Torn between her love for Simon and her ambitions for the job she had always wanted, she chose her career.
